Moreover, if you are a fan of grunge, why haven't you ordered this already? For those of you who don't remember the grunge scene, pick this release up and you will instantly hear what all the fuss was about. If you are a fan of the movie (which is highly recommended if you have an hour and forty minutes to spare), you should give this a spin. The Original Soundtrack Singles captures a time, a place and a musical style almost to perfection. Overall, I am delighted to finally have a copy of the 'Singles' soundtrack on vinyl. To be brutally honest with my review here, it's not great by any means, save the live tracks by Alice in Chains and Soundgarden. You also get a bonus CD with this deluxe release containing some rarities and unreleased material. Whether it be Alice in Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Mother Love Bone, Smashing Pumpkins, Mudhoney or even Paul Westerberg (of The Replacements fame), they're all here and they all sound sublime on heavyweight vinyl. The album is a double gatefold LP and is full of classic songs from some of the biggest names to come out of Seattle in the early 1990s. In short, I am not disappointed in the slightest with this release. I had this on preorder ever since learning about its release in February of this year. This shall be a short review of the 25th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Vinyl set of the 'Singles' movie soundtrack.
